Description

A comprehensive collection of mid-20th-century silver-plated flatware comprising two distinct sets. The primary service is a canteen of 1881 Rogers silver plate by Oneida Ltd. in the Brookwood pattern, first introduced circa 1950. This pattern is distinguished by its elegant stylised floral and foliate motifs stamped at the shoulder and base of the handles. The service includes a variety of dinner knives, forks, dessert spoons, and serving pieces, all presented in a black wooden case with a vibrant red felt-lined interior. Accompanying this is a seven-piece fruit set by Lewis Rose & Co. Ltd. of Sheffield, England. This set features a more minimalist mid-century design with linear accents and includes a large serving spoon, four spoons, and two forks, housed in its original, labelled cardboard presentation box. Large case measures approximately 48cm x 29cm x 6cm.
