A detailed artisan-crafted model of a traditional Romani vardo (caravan), specifically of the bow-top variety. The piece is constructed primarily from wood and features a vibrant colour palette, including a green barrel-shaped roof and a red-painted chassis. The exterior is adorned with intricate hand-painted yellow and blue panels featuring traditional scrollwork and decorative flourishes. The interior is partially furnished with miniature wooden elements, notably a yellow-painted cupboard visible through the front opening. Accompanying the wagon is a well-modelled draft horse with a dappled grey finish, wearing detailed black tack and harness accented with gold-toned metal chains. This piece represents a fine example of folk art miniature modelling, capturing the specific aesthetic of travelling caravans from the early to mid-20th century.
