Tri-ang Hornby RS 24 OO Gauge Electric Train Set in Original Box, Circa 1960s
Description
This vintage Tri-ang Hornby RS 24 electric train set represents a classic era of British model railways, produced during the transition period following the merger of the Tri-ang and Hornby brands. The set is presented in its original retail box featuring a decorative lid with artwork for The Blue Pullman. The collection includes a black 0-6-0 steam-style tank locomotive numbered 47606, a blue passenger carriage numbered 41917, a green freight wagon, and a grey goods van. The rolling stock is constructed from moulded plastic with metal components. Also included is a comprehensive selection of curved and straight OO gauge track sections. The items are housed in the original yellow cardboard interior display tray. Box dimensions approximately 48cm x 32cm.
