Description
Brian Needham (British, Contemporary). A pair of detailed wildlife studies. The first and larger work depicts three snow leopards amongst a rocky, mountainous outcrop, executed in acrylic on board. The artist employs a meticulous, realistic style to capture the textural qualities of the leopards’ spotted coats and the moss-covered stone. Signed BRIAN NEEDHAM in the lower right and presented in a light-coloured wooden frame. The second work features a single reclining cheetah within an arid landscape, executed in acrylic and gouache on board. Signed and dated BRIAN NEEDHAM ’21 in the lower right and housed in a modern silver-toned frame under glass. Larger: 51 x 71 cm; Smaller: 32 x 42 cm.
