Description
A pair of contemporary realist works by Brian Needham, an artist noted for his pet portraiture and professional association with ITV. The first work is an acrylic painting on stretched canvas depicting a yellow Labrador Retriever, rendered with fine, descriptive brushwork against a soft-focus background of thistles and greenery. Signed BRIAN NEEDHAM and dated 98 vertically to the right. The second work is an acrylic painting on stretched canvas depicting the gnarled roots and base of a large tree in a sun-dappled forest setting, executed with textured, layered brushwork. Both works are unframed and presented on their original wooden stretchers. 61 cm x 51 cm and 51 cm x 61 cm.
