A Collection of Herend, Meissen, and Mason's Porcelain and Ironstone Decorative Objects
Description
A five-piece assembly of fine European ceramics and ironstone. The collection features two Herend of Hungary hand-painted porcelain figurines, including a large pheasant with a long tapering tail and a smaller calf, both decorated in the signature black fishnet pattern with polychrome wing/ear accents and gilt highlights. Both figurines bear the blue Herend factory backstamp and impressed model numbers to the underside. Also present are two Meissen porcelain vases, comprising one trumpet-form example and one with a pedestal base, each decorated with hand-painted orange floral motifs in the Chinoiserie style and finished with gilt rims. Both vases display the blue underglaze crossed swords mark to the base. Completing the group is a Mason’s Ironstone globular lidded ginger jar in the ‘Blue Mandalay’ pattern, featuring dense floral decoration in cobalt blue, iron red, and gold, with a printed maker’s mark to the base. Pheasant length approximately 34 cm; trumpet vase height approximately 14 cm.
