Lot 51:
A Collection of Vintage Decorative Ceramics and Objects including WBI Millefleur Porcelain and Chinoiserie Wares
Description
A diverse collection of decorative items, primarily featuring mid-20th-century Chinese export porcelain. The group includes a lidded ginger jar and a matching circular plate decorated in a vibrant polychrome millefleur (thousand flowers) pattern, attributed to WBI (World Buyers Inc.) or Macau production. Also present is a blue-glazed bowl featuring hand-painted Chinoiserie botanical and bird of paradise motifs, consistent with vintage WBI designs. Further ceramic items include a brown transfer-ware tureen with lid, a lidded pot with high-relief pink floral blossoms, and a miniature teacup and saucer. The lot is complemented by two animal figurines: a cat with a pale green floral surface and a blue songbird. Additional decorative pieces comprise two eggs, one crafted from shell or bone with metal fittings and another with transfer decoration, alongside a rectangular carved dish in translucent pale green onyx. Tureen measures approximately 22 cm in length; millefleur jar stands approximately 13 cm high.
