A Collection of Three Royal Doulton and Beswick Style Ceramic Animal Figurines Including Siamese Cats
Description
A collection of three vintage glazed ceramic animal figurines, comprising two reclining Siamese cats and a chestnut horse. The Siamese cat figurines are rendered with characteristic cream-coloured bodies, dark chocolate points, and hand-painted blue eyes. The undersides of the cats bear the Royal Doulton printed backstamp featuring the lion and crown motif, accompanied by model numbers 1558 and 1559. The horse figurine is finished in a high-gloss chestnut glaze with white markings to the lower legs and unglazed hooves, typical of the animalier style popularised by Beswick and Royal Doulton in the mid-20th century. Each piece demonstrates the high-quality craftsmanship associated with British ceramic production of the period. Largest cat measures approximately 19 cm in length.
