A SylvaC Pottery Large Terrier Figurine, Small Terrier, and a Lurpak Advertising Butter Dish
Description
A mixed group of vintage ceramics comprising two SylvaC pottery terrier dog figurines and a branded advertising butter dish. The large terrier, model number 1380, is hollow-cast earthenware with a textured coat finished in a honey-coloured glaze with brown painted highlights to the eyes and nose. It is accompanied by a smaller matching terrier figurine of similar design. The collection also includes a rectangular cream-glazed butter dish and lid, produced for the Lurpak brand. The lid features a moulded character handle in the form of Douglas the butter man and the blue Lurpak logo. The base of the dish is marked made exclusively for Lurpak with a manufacturer’s monogram. Large dog height: approx. 28cm. Small dog height: approx. 12cm. Butter dish width: approx. 15cm.
