Lot 38:
A Pair of Nao by Lladró Spanish Porcelain Figurines
Description
A collection of two glossy glazed porcelain figurines by Nao, a subsidiary of the Lladró Group, Spain. These pieces are executed in a characteristically soft pastel palette of muted blues, pinks, and creams, typical of the factory’s output during the late 20th century. The moulded porcelain figures exhibit the smooth, elongated features and high-shine finish synonymous with Spanish decorative ceramics of this period. The first figurine depicts a standing young woman in a long white dress accompanied by a small child holding a rabbit, with a pink dog at their feet. The second figurine features a group of children seated together with small animals. These sentimental subjects are representative of the 1980s and 1990s aesthetic. While marks are not fully visible in the provided images, the style, colour palette, and execution are consistent with Nao production. Tallest figure: approximately 25 cm.
