Roland GC-405 Tube Logic Guitar Combo Amplifier, c. 1990s
Description
A Roland GC-405 guitar combo amplifier featuring Roland’s proprietary Tube Logic technology, designed to emulate the tonal characteristics and response of a vacuum tube amplifier in a solid-state format. The unit is housed in a compact wooden cabinet with a black textured Tolex-style covering and reinforced with chrome-finished metal corner protectors. It features a grey-and-black woven speaker grille with a prominent white Roland logo. The control panel layout consists of a single 1/4 inch instrument input, a push-button channel selector for Clean and Lead channels, a dedicated Clean Volume control, and independent Lead Pre-Volume and Post-Volume controls. The equaliser section includes three-band controls for Bass, Middle, and Treble, alongside a master Presence control for high-end definition. The unit is powered via a red illuminated rocker-style switch. The serial number is typically located on the rear chassis plate.
