A Set of Six Late Victorian Mahogany Dining Chairs
Description
This is a matched set of six dining chairs dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, blending Late Victorian and Edwardian aesthetic influences. Each chair is constructed from solid mahogany with a deep, high-gloss polished finish. The design features a curved, scrolled top rail over a central upholstered back panel. The chairs are raised on ring-turned front legs, while the rear legs are slightly splayed to provide stability. The backrests and seats are upholstered in a later salmon-coloured textured fabric, finished with decorative brass nailhead trim. The frames exhibit the sturdy construction typical of the period. 92cm H x 48cm W x 50cm D.
